Arrived. E-mail

I've finally arrived in Singapore (actually I arrived yesterday morning).  No troubles with my flights and the only complaint I had was that the flight attendants wake you up even if you're not eating so that you can put your seat up so the person behind you can eat (annoying for people like me who just want to sleep but amazing for people who are eating).

Yesterday my Mom pimped me out and I had to go to my grand uncle's house to help him do computer/tech stuff since he let her and her friend stay at his house during the Singapore Grand Prix when my mom's friend couldn't find a hotel.  It wasn't all bad because they took us out for lunch at this Japanese place where my Grand Aunt knows the owner.  It was a "buffet" but a la carte - so basically all you can eat, but you just order what you want to eat off the menu - all for S$33 (~$22 USD).  As soon as we sat down, we had a salmon tartare, edamame and 6 other small appetizer dishes thrust infront of us.  Over the next two hours, they brought us (without us ordering anything)a whole bunch of food that I've never eaten before...Salmon Belly (my new fav) and swordfish sashimi, fried Hamachi cheek, grilled and marinated salmon head, deep fried battered anchovies, a teapot soup, and a seafood soup served over coals in a piece of tin foil (pic below).  We also had some stuff that I had had before like hamachi, toro, pumpkin & sweet potatoe tempura, fried rice and a tempura roll. All in all, the best Japanese meal I've ever had!
