If I go to watch a movie at the theater or a television show and I miss any part of the beginning, I cannot stay and watch it. Even if I only missed a minute.

Hey guys, just accept my myspace invite for playing mafia wars. It will let me try to beat the crap out of daddy if you join my mafia family. You don’t really have to do anything, I don’t think but you might get killed off of my family if you don’t play too. It really is a more solo game to play than group play. But I could use the ‘numbers’ in my family.
MOM

i have to play and beat windows solitaire before i can do any real work at the office. i also have to do this before working after coming back from lunch.

Beers at Lunch? E-mail
Thursday, 28 August 2008

Is it acceptable to have a beer at lunch?  How many is too many?

According to the HR Director for technology, it's ok to drink beer at lunch but only if you a) don't smell like alcohol and b) are not impaired.

Do I smell the return of liquid lunch?

A friend sent me this last week when I mistakenly deleted a product and was hoping that nobody would notice that content stopped for a good 5 minutes.  I took it like a mature adult and blamed someone else (the delete button is right next to the edit button and doens't ask you to confirm that you want to delete the product!)

President Bush Visits Beach Volleyball E-mail
Monday, 25 August 2008

Dear Mr President.  Please don't slap Misty on her ass...even if it is with the back of your hand.  Always inappropriate sir.

Here's the real caption: President Bust gestures toward the back of Misty May Treanor as he visits the practice of the U.S. beach volleyball team the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing, China Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008. At right is Treanor's teammate Kerri Walsh. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert)

Fact: Bears eat Beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica E-mail
Thursday, 21 August 2008

Though fuzzy peaches and nectarines are commercially regarded as different fruits, with nectarines often erroneously believed to be a crossbreed between peaches and plums, or a "peach with a plum skin", they belong to the same species as peaches.  Several genetic studies have concluded in fact that nectarines are created due to a recessive gene, whereas a fuzzy peach skin is dominant.  It is not uncommon to have peaches growing on nectarine trees and vice versa!

Also, I hate peaches, they itch my throat. One should not eat more than 4 peaches in one day.

And now one for the road:

Something Funny Happened on the Way To the Bar E-mail
Monday, 18 August 2008
  • I was called "A Pan Asian Dumpling"
  • I was told that beyond a doubt I was Korean
  • I was asked by someone from *Boston* if Carla and I "came together" (I stand corrected, the guy wasn't from Jersey, he was from Boston.  I just remembered it was a town that I hated)
  • I had a conversation about my book club book, Devil in the White Cit
  • I got a bill for $25 for 2 margaritas, 2 sangrias and 3 dos equis (and I didn't know the bartender!)
  • Solidified my relationship with Dan the bartender
  • Said no to free shots (at 3:30am)

All in all, a productive friday evening.
